*Job Brief:*
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure that the company receives payment for goods provided to customers.
*Potential Key Responsibilities:*
· Prepares daily wire, lockbox and live check deposits
· Posts, verifies, and records payments to customer accounts
· Verifies and posts all customer deductions and rebates
· Generates account statements as requested
· Review aging with Corporate Controller weekly, identifying delinquent accounts
· Conduct first tier collection steps per company policy—including and not limited to contact on past due amounts.
Knows when to escalate to Corporate Controller for assistance
· Collaborates with the Corporate Controller to reconcile accounts receivable as part of the month-end close
· Coordinates with Customer Service group to research invoice discrepancies and questions
· Prepares month end rebate summaries
· Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed
· Assist in maintaining and updating customer files, including name or address changes
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
· Business/Accounting 2-4 year degree would be ideal
· 2 - 4 years accounting related experience in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Excellent knowledge in accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Exceptional attention to detail.
