We're proud to be partnered with a progressive group here in Rochester looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team.
This person will report directly into the Controller and assist with close processes/procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Conduct general ledger accounting and reconciliation activities
- Perform account analysis and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting requirements
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
- Various projects as needed
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-Related Field
- At least 2 years of public accounting (audit) or GL accounting experience
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new software
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation highly preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
