EDI is proud to partner with Heritage Christian Services (HCS) in search of its Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO (SVPF/CFO).

The SVPF/CFO is a strategic partner on the senior leadership team, providing guidance, support, and consultation in financial decisions, stewardship, and growth throughout the agency.

Reporting to the CEO and serving as the chief financial officer, the SVPF/CFO oversees all aspects of agency-related finances and directs the fiscal functions of the organization consistent with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with state, federal, and local laws.

Pay for this position: $192090 - $256064 / year The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting Responsibilities: BASIC RESPONSIBILITES: Plan, develop, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
Serve as a strategic partner in the development of the organization’s plans and programs.
Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
Ensure timely and accurate close of monthly financials, analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to assist the President and CEO, the Board and other senior executives in performing their duties.
Evaluate the finance department structure and plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
Provide team members with professional development opportunities.
Ensure continued improvement of the budgeting and Financial Planning and Analysis process through education of financial managers, leadership and department managers on the financial issues impacting department budgets.
Responsible for ensuring that effective internal controls are in place as well as compliance with generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Oversee risk management for the organization including corporate compliance.
In partnership with information technology and business intelligence and analytics, identify and ensure implementation of systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information.
Develop, implement, and review financial policies and procedures to improve the overall effectiveness of the organization.
Develop presentation materials and agenda for and preside over the Finance and Audit Committee meeting of the Board of Directors in coordination with the Board Treasurer.
Work closely with Board Treasurer and serve as the Board of Directors’ direct contact with its Independent Auditor.
Ensure the assets of the organization are safeguarded and that cash is maximized and properly invested.
Manage cash flow planning process and ensure availability of funds.
Represent organization to banks, financial partners, institutions, public auditors, and other officials.
Serve as trustee on retirement plan monitoring, administration, and investment.
Enhance supplier diversity through procurement services.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide oversight and support, supervise the Corporate Controller of the organization, and ensure that the Corporate Controller has charge and custody of, and responsibility for all assets of the organization.
Provide supervision to facilities, accounting, finance, payroll, and benefits functions.
