NeighborWorks Community Partners is seeking a Finance team member to fill our Accounting and Payroll Specialist role.
This role is responsible for accounting functions such as accounts payable, bank deposits, adjusting journal entries, account reconciliations and invoicing as well as payroll processing.
In this multi-functional role, you will be cross trained to assist team members when needed.
This position performs a number of critical tasks for the organization that require the use of finance experience, sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.

*Job Responsibilities*
*Accounting*
* Accounts payable/Accounts receivable.
* Credit card purchase tracking and reconciliation.
* Bank deposits and cash receipts (scanning).
* Bank account reconciliations.
* Track and cash levels as needed to meet cash disbursement obligations.
* Monthly journal entries including prepaids, deferred income and depreciation.
* Process accounting transactions related to the organization’s property assets.
*Payroll *
* Process payroll and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
* Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
* Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
* Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
* Balance cash and payroll accounts.
* Processing payroll for all NCP staff.
*Back up Support *
* Loan Servicing functions – data entry, account reviews, statement generation and distribution.
* Human Resources functions - provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans.
*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE *
* Minimum of Associates degree in a related field or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of equivalent experience in accounting and payroll.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES *
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the Agency.
* Effective problem-solving skills.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
* Knowledge of Intacct and Bill.

* Proficient use of computers including Microsoft Office and Internet
