*Job Description: Senior Accountant*
The Cost Accountant will participate in a wide variety of accounting functions to include general ledger, cost accounting, budget/forecasting, reporting and analysis.
*Responsibilities: Senior Accountant*
o Coordinates accounting functions with team members and ensures sound accounting practices are followed.
o Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual margin/variance reporting by product, customer and warehouse.
o Coordinates with operations to ensure accuracy of overall Physical Inventory and related audits.
o Maintains and reconciles Fixed Assets schedules.
o Analyze product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost for both new product quotes and existing product engineering changes.
o Variance analysis and review of cost allocation assumptions and rates.
o Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close, including the preparation of monthly journal entries.
o Assist in assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
o Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial status.
o Prepares financial analyses and reports as requested.
o Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and other general ledger accounts as requested.
o Assists with annual audit preparations and reporting.
o Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
o Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
o Performs other accounting duties as assigned.
*Requirements: Senior Accountant*
o Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
o 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
o Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
o Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail
o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Strong organizational and stress management skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
o Proficiency in Infor Syteline a plus.
o Ability to work with little to no supervision.
o Ability to achieve results; Problem-solving skills; Commitment to quality
o Exceptional oral and written communication skills
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills: verbal and written
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.
00 - $90,000.
