Job Summary:
The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all monthly invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities of the job:
Generate customer billing invoices out of ERP system
Reviews all records associated with invoicing to ensure accuracy
Ensures that all billing calculations are correct before sending invoices to customers
Meets all billing deadlines
Keeps detailed records of all billing transactions
Analyze billing procedures and recommends changes in processes
Ability to read & interpret billing contracts
Explains bills to customers who have questions
Complete customer request forms and on-line registrations
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Education:
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience and Training:
0 - 3 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance preferred
Experience with NetSuite/Salesforce a plus
Technical Knowledge:
Excellent customer service skills
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
Detail-oriented, highly organized and have strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability work independently with little supervision
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Ability to manage stressful situations, particularly when closing out a month or fiscal year
Contact with Others
Position will interact with most employees, supervisors/managers and senior management in completion of duties.
Moderate contact with outside parties, including auditors and customers
Confidentiality:
This position will be exposed to extremely confidential information and discretion is paramount.
A confidentiality, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreement will be required.
Management Responsibility
This position is seen as an individual contributor with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
This position is required to work in the Rochester office 5 days a week with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after training has been completed.

The salary for this role is $55,341.
