*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* *Tracks Employee Data* * Creates, maintains and updates employee personnel files.
* Maintains I-9’s, and other required employee information.
* Performs data entry into ADP, RELIAS and other HRIS systems.
* Provides pre-employment processing, including performing background checks.
* Conducts agency orientation and supports the employee onboarding process.
* Creates and distributes employee identification badges.
* Tracks professional certifications and licensure.
* Processes Medicaid Fraud Checks monthly.
* Processes employment and other status changes, including separations for staff, vendors, contractors, and others as required.
* Processes unemployment claims.
*Supports Human Resources Department in Administrative Functions* * Responds to employment inquiries and follows-up in a timely fashion; sends status updates and other communications as needed to departments during hiring process.
* Updates the Employee Handbook and other documents as needed.
* Coordinates the implementation and documentation of the agency’s staff development and training initiatives through RELIAS and other systems as needed.
* Serves as a resource for HRIS (ADP, RELIAS).
* Assists with audits and HR projects upon request.
* Implements HR process and procedure redesign initiatives, and provides solution-oriented feedback.
*Demonstrates Professionalism* * Provides first level consultation and support to employees regarding Human Resources related matters; updates and/or escalates to HR Generalist as needed.
* Maintains discretion at all times; handles confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
* Abides by Code of Conduct, which incorporates the Corporate Compliance section.
* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* · High school diploma with three years’ experience in a Human Resources Department or equivalent required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
· Proficiency in Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
· Experience in a remote work environment preferred.
*OTHER REQUIREMENTS* · Demonstrated ability to work effectively in response to frequent change: o Able to creatively identify potential process improvements.
o Able to remain objective and solution-oriented.
o Functions well with multiple projects occurring simultaneously.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES* * ·Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
* · Knowledge of Human Resources governing laws and regulations.
* · Ability to anticipate issues proactively and recommend/research appropriate action.
* · Excellent communication, organizational skills, and follow up skills.
* · Excellent time management skills.
