A 1970's Pioneer "silver-face" stereo receiver, this one is in excellent working condition.
It has new warm-white LED dial lamps installed and the speaker protection relay contacts have been cleaned for reliable operation.
Controls and switches have been treated with contact cleaner.
The SX-727 was introduced in 1972 and was rated for 37 watts per channel into 8 ohms.
It's certainly not one of Pioneer's more powerful receivers but it is more than powerful enough with reasonably efficient speakers.
The SX-727 has a reputation as one of Pioneer's sweeter sounding units.
This example includes one pair of the proprietary speaker connectors that Pioneer used during this era.
If connecting more speakers is necessary, aftermarket replacements are available separately.
