Great warm sound, plenty of power, awesome looks.

.
This is a heavy beast, high-quality, Japan-made piece from the 1970s, the heyday of stereo equipment.
This particular sample is in good cosmetic shape, save for the veneer issues that affect this model.
The previous owner removed a portion of the veneer from one of the side panels.
Issue may not be visible depending on your stand configuration, or you may want to reveneer the unit as it's often done.
Discounted asking price reflects this.
The cabinet itself is solid though and the fascia is pretty clean.
All of the original knobs are present, and all functions work without any issues, scratchiness or crackling.
IMHO, the x50 series is the best Pioneer receiver series ever made.
Before that, they were a bit too primitive (the x2x and x3x series), and after that they started to cut costs (the x80 series doesn't have discrete power devices, it uses power packs that tend to fail and good quality replacements are difficult to find).
This is the sweet spot for price, quality and performance, and many prefer the sound of the 750 to that of its bigger brothers, the 850 and the 950.
(The 650 and below unfortunately have power packs as opposed to discrete outputs, so they are not as desirable.
) Happy to demo it!
