Americas Import/Export Trade Compliance Manager

The Position: Oversees, leads, and manages the Safran Trusted 4D (ST4D) Americas program of importing and exporting of products, supply chain security activities, and trade compliance requirements by ensuring compliance with USG and international laws and regulations.
This role also serves as the ST4D America’s Trade Compliance Manager, Import/Export Compliance Officer and Empowered Official.
The Day to Day: Manage international trade compliance function of imports and exports, including ERP processes.
Through use of external government systems (ACE, DECCS, and SNAP-R), manages all reporting and activity.
Responsible for ITAR jurisdiction, EAR classification, HTSUS and Schedule B determinations.
Participate to the deployment of a trade compliance automation solution such as SAP-GTS.
Responsible for drafting and updating licenses and agreements, JD and CCATS submittals, determines appropriate use of exemptions and exceptions.
Manage Trade Compliance activity at sites, reviewing all business partners against SPL/DNP lists.
Develops, maintains and updates all international trade compliance procedures.
Trains personnel accordingly.
Monitors and audits compliance activity within each department to ensure policy adherence.
Accountable for recordkeeping of all import/export related documents to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Provide guidance and support to the company regarding transportation, insurance, storage, customs agents, etc.
What you Bring to Safran: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 5+ years of import / export experience Ability to work independently Knowledge in ACE (US Government Single Window) Knowledge in DECCS (Electronic licensing system used by the DDTC – Directorate of Defense Trade Controls) Knowledge SNAP-R system (Electronic licensing system used by BIS – Bureau of Industry and Security) Knowledge of SAP/GTS Knowledge in interpreting the USML, CCL, Schedule B, and HTS information Demonstrated import/export compliance coordination in a similar or like industry Knowledge of Foreign Trade Regulations and U.
