Administrative Hearing Examiner

JOB The City of Rochester is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Hearing Examiner for the Parking & Municipal Code Violations Bureau.
The prospective Administrative Hearing Examiner will be appointed by the Director of Parking.
This position will be paid on a per diem basis at $50 per hour.
Initial expectations are for the Hearing Examiner to work, at least, one day per month from 9:30 a.
m.
to 1:00 p.
m.
; however the number of days and hours may vary.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES An Administrative Hearing Examiner conducts administrative in-person hearings on parking and municipal code violation citations, administrative hearings on appeals, adjudicates written declaration requests, conducts vehicle impound hearings, and other related work.
The Hearing Examiner, when conducting hearings, will make rulings based on fact and law and issue decisions on both parking and municipal cases.
Moving violations (i.
e.
traffic violations) are not included.
The Hearing Examiner will be prohibited from appearing in any court on parking and municipal code violation matters in any capacity other than as an administrative hearing examiner for the Parking & Municipal Code Violations Bureau.
