38' Chris Craft Roamer Flybridge project, mostly complete, needs labor and finishing.
After searching for a year I purchased this to restore her and trucked her in from Michigan.
She was a one owner boat and all original.
She has a steel hull and weights about 18,000 pounds.
She has a newer set of 7.
4L (454cid GM) engines with 2.
91 transmissions which are not installed because they were removed for the bottom painting.
The bilge was cleaned and painted last fall while the engines were out.
The deck exterior is dusty and needs cleaning and painting.
The hull sides were sanded and primed last year.
The cabin interior is in good to fair condition with some cushions I had remade that are still in their wrappings from the upholsterer.
The cabin features a v berth up front, then a dinette table that folds into a bed opposite a couch with back cushion that hangs from the ceiling to turn into a bunk bed.
Then is a galley with oven, stovetop, sink, refrigerator opposite a head with shower.
The installed radar worked.
There is a newer battery charger.
The back deck wood needs its support structure rebuilt, a great opportunity to dress it up with waterproof flooring.
These steel hull roamers are very durable.
She had plenty of power to plane off and cruise at 25-30mph with the original engines.
These engines provide 40 more horsepower each over the original 300hp Ford engines she came with.
I did have her in the water for a few years with the prior engines before one of the original engines failed.
I would like to see this finished, used and enjoyed.
I paid 10k for her plus another 5k to get her here.
