Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Housing Manager to oversee the operations of our residential properties.
The Housing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of housing units, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and complying with all relevant regulations and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing, tenant screening, lease agreements, and move-in/move-out processes.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Oversee rent collection, delinquency management, and eviction processes.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and habitable living conditions for tenants.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to attract and retain tenants.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, leases, rent payments, and maintenance requests using property management software such as Yardi or similar systems.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in property management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and other relevant housing laws.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management principles.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Valid driver's license.
