Store Team Leader Job Description: Store Team Leader Job Type: Full Time- includes benefits.
Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays Job Summary: Store team leaders are multi-faceted.
The store team leader is a leadership role so an ability to manage and delegate to the other store team members is a must.
The store team leaders are able to operate and utilize Point of Sale terminals to assist and help customers, along with handling financial transactions.
Store team leaders are able to also work in the warehouse, nursery and the pet department.
Being able to adapt and assist in multiple departments is a huge requirement of this position.
Another primary function of the Store team leader is to follow the set guidelines and protocol to open and close the store.

Position Outline: The store team leader is a crucial role in the store operations.
The store team leader works with the store management team to delegate and provide guidance to the other store team members.
Along with the ability to help and work in multiple departments, the store team leader is tasked with following the proper procedures to open and close the store.
This includes reviewing and securing financial transactions and end of day totals.
• Provide top-notch CountryMax helpful service, including carrying out any and all products for customers and patrons • Alongside the store management team, delegate and give direction to the store team members • Assist and work in multiple departments when needed • Follow the proper procedure to secure financial transactions and totals when opening and closing the store • Operate Point of Sale terminals and handle financial transactions • As a team monitor and control inventory stock levels • Create and generate special order requests for any products not currently on hand or sold in store • Establish business relationships with the various patrons and customers that shop at CountryMax • Work as a team in the overall store maintenance and merchandising to keep the store presentable and neat Position Requirements: The store team leader will work in a leadership capacity to manage the store team members, while assisting various store departments as necessary.
Following the proper procedures to open and close the store is also necessary.
• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required • Previous leadership or key holder experience is a plus • Proficient on a PC, including Microsoft Word and Excel • Past experience operating a Point of Sale terminal and handling financial transactions is a plus • Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours or during the store’s operating hours • The key holder will need to open and close the store prominently, so punctuality is a must • Helpful service and keen social skills are also a must • Ability to work as a team in a retail atmosphere The starting wage will be based on experience.
