The *Tow Motor Operator* position operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks onto trucks or outside storage areas.
*Responsibilities* • Review schedule and coordinate with dispatch at start of shift.
• Keep tow motors, trucks, and trailers clean and maintained.
• Daily safety checks and equipment inspections.
• If there is dunnage on the ground or left by truck drivers, pick it up and put it where it belongs.
• Move products to yard areas with proper equipment and efficiently stack and store the product in the appropriate area.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly yard.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the yard.
• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
• Operate materials handling equipment safely and efficiently using safety equipment as required.
• Report and communicate all problems, questions, and issues right away.
*Work environment* • This position is not in a controlled environment; work will be performed indoors and outdoors.
*Physical demands* • Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud at times.
*Required experience:* • 2+ years’ experience operating industrial equipment including tow motor and overhead cranes.
• Ability to operate a tow motor and other types of equipment and attachments is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
*Preferred skills & Experience:* • CDL Class A a plus! Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.
