Gallo in Canandaigua, NY is Hiring! Seeking an Advanced Maintenance Tech to join our bottling team in helping Serve Joy! Job Overview: Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2nd Shift.
3:00p - 11:30p Shift Differential as applicable As a Maintenance Tech 2-CND, you will provide advanced mechanical maintenance/repair support for winery operations while maintaining GMP standards.
Job Responsibilities: Leads machinery trouble-shooting; documents repairs made.
Identifies and reports need for repairs to Maintenance Team Lead.
Replaces or repairs defective parts.
Reassembles equipment and tests for conformance to specifications.
Works on assigned projects; responds to emergency maintenance calls.
Disassembles malfunctioning equipment; examines and tests mechanisms on large and small pieces of machinery.
Tests equipment and adjusts calibration to ensure equipment is functioning is within specified standards.
Interprets technical documents (prints, manuals) as required.
Operates machining tools, drill presses; performs welding operations.
Services pumps and drive system components.
Troubleshoots alarms related to key winery systems.
What You Will Need: High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 3 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial mechanical or automotive environment.
Required to work assigned shift (day, swing, and graveyard) and weekends and overtime as needed.
Required to conduct work at heights.
Required to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required to work in a tight and confined space.
Required to provide own basic hand tools.
Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel at a basic level.
Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.

68 / per hour Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
