After School Care Aide

The After School Care Aide supervises and engages students in a number of activities such as: snack time, homework, arts & crafts, playground/outside time, etc.
The aide is also responsible for preparing snack, disinfecting equipment/materials, general set up/clean up and dropping students off to parents/guardians for pick-up.
St.
Joseph School has *ONE *immediate opening for an aide in our After-School Care program expected every Friday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and to sub for other aides, as needed.
The role would be perfect for someone either looking to build their childcare experience or looking to work for a couple of hours a week.
*Expectations* * The ideal candidate will have babysitting, childcare, and/or elementary education experience.
* The ideal candidate will have knowledge in group games and gym type games.
* The candidate should be able to engage with children from ages 5-12.
* The candidate should be prepared to supervise children outside in most weather.
* The candidate should expect to walk, stand and sit at different times throughout the shift.
* Some set up and general cleaning is also expected (e.
g.
rolling out lunch tables, sweeping, wiping tables, etc.
), which is a duty that is shared with all staff on the After-School Care team.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $14.
