Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is currently seeking a qualified professional for a challenging leadership role in the Medical/Health sector.

*Responsibility Summary:*
Supervise a team of professionals and clerical staff involved in various functions, including access, pre-authorization, bed placement, coding, utilization review, and denial management.
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to foster effective relationships with healthcare professionals, services, and specialties.
Provide consultation to the executive team, building strong connections with VPs and department leaders.
Contribute to the determination and definition of the Care Management Dashboard, utilizing data to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the organization.
Develop and evaluate a strategic plan for the department, considering internal and external factors.
Manage staffing levels, assignments, skills, learning needs, and staff deployment.
Create stable processes to anticipate and address specific situations within the department and between other departments and agencies.
Establish effective communication systems with third-party payers, local PRO/QIO, Medical Records, and the managed care and finance offices.
Develop structures and processes to facilitate multidisciplinary care planning, care delivery, and discharge planning involving physicians, physical therapists, social work, and other health professionals.
Participate in continuous quality improvement groups.
Negotiate, approve, and manage operational and capital budgets.
Conduct annual and interim performance appraisals for all staff in the department.
*Skills and Certifications:*
Masters in Nursing, Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse Licensure, Five (5) Years Hands-On Care Management Leadership Experience in a Hospital Setting.
